Using our expertise to reopen a damaged high street shop.
The Brief
Retail Shop Front, Stony Stratford.
When a car drove into the front of a high street tattoo parlour, it was more than just the bricks and mortar that took a hit. The landlord required expert building services to limit disturbance to the community and business, whilst meeting insurance requirements. With over 20 years of experience, 4Front were able to support the landlord, business owner and insurer throughout this entire project. What may have started as a like-for-like replacement, became an opportunity for this outdated shop front to have a facelift in keeping with Stony Stratford’s style.

What We Did
Being mindful of the public and oncoming traffic was a high priority.
Situated on the main street running through Stony Stratford, being mindful of the public and oncoming traffic was a high priority. We, therefore, set up hoardings around the shop front which protected passers-by but allowed us to continue with the following building work, through a phased approach:
- Brickwork repairs
- Brickwork rendering
- New shop facia
- New windows
The Outcome
It was a great opportunity for a shopfront refresh.
Although an unplanned refurbishment for the landlord, it was a great opportunity for a shopfront refresh. We worked alongside the landlord to update this old retail unit with a new shop window and facia which felt more inclusive with the rest of the high street. Ensuring the core features matched the style of the business, whilst delivering a fresh and modern finish. Our clear communication and detailed quotes also meant the insurance claims could be processed quickly and the repairs could be completed efficiently.
